Okotoks, AB – From their humble beginnings with an idea to bring Alberta’s rural history to life in the form of custom wood works to their innovative product lines to brighten anyone’s home. Two Birds Furniture is proud to announce their new location while still being a part of the Foothills community.
Starting in the Fall, Two Birds will begin renovations, moving and the expansion of their new location in Okotoks located at #119 Fisher Street across from the Okotoks Home Hardware.
The business venture was started by Clint & Robyn Pigeon back in 2014 has grown from a small shop out in Longview, AB before moving into Okotoks three years ago in their current location at #108 220 Stockton Avenue.
Two Birds has grown from 2143 sq/ft to when the new location of 3300 sq/ft where there will be 1500 sq/ft for their manufacturing bay, a 600 sq/ft show room and 400 finishing room for their products.
CEO Clint Pigeon says the expansion is all part of the company’s goal of growing.
“We started with a handful of tools in our old location where it was just Robyn & I to now in our current workplace we’re working with milling equipment, industrial planers, numerous table saws and our clientele has grown immensely and we’re at the stage where we need more room to not only manufacture our product but also give us more opportunities to showcase our products.”
Location was key for the local business, both Clint and Robyn growing up and being from the area are happy to be staying put in Okotoks for the foreseeable future.
Along with the new specs of the shop, Two Birds has more in store for the community says President Robyn Pigeon.
“Not only will our show room and finishing room expand but we plan to utilize it to put on more events within the space for locals to come out and see us whether it’s after hours on a week day and also give all those DIYer’s a chance to see how we work with our products and have a chance to connect with our community near and far.”
Two Birds has been a part of the Okotoks Business Community for 4 years and a member of the Okotoks & District Chamber of Commerce for 3 years.
“We’re excited with the direction and the growth of our business is going and we can’t wait to serve the area even better than ever and we can’t to continue our relationship within The Town of Okotoks as we go through our new expansion,” says Clint.
While the expansion and movement of the inventory will take some time. Two Birds will open at their new location in January 2019.
